Top 4 famous historical places in India: The Historical place or historic site or heritage site both are the same things. Historical places are the best place for visitors or tourist because there are many stories behind it. Our country INDIA is very famous for historical places. Every year many of the Indians and foreigner are visits there in large number because of there beauty, historic stories and many of the new interesting things for learning. Historical places may be its a building, a monument, a site or structure or a landscape anything. The historic site is an official location, cultural or a social history. The historic site is protected by the government and many laws. In India, there are so many historical places but today I will share top historical places of India. Many YouTube stars are also visited on these places.

1. Hawa Mahal: Hawa Mahal is a very famous and popular historical place. It is a palace which is situated in Jaipur (Pink City) of India. Hawa Mahal was built by King Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799 AD. This is a very famous monument of India. The design of Hawa Mahal was made by Lal Chand Ustad in 1799. This palace is made of red and pink sandstone. This is situated near a famous Jeweler Market in Jaipur. This building has 959 windows which are covered by the tough/hard net. This Hawa Mahal was mainly built for women because they could enjoy all the scenes of the royal procession without any foundation and hesitation. This famous monument has 5(five) floor. The value of this monument was reported to be around 4568 million.

2. Sanchi Stupa: Sanchi Stupa is a famous tourist spot. It is situated in the Sanchi village which is in Madhya Pradesh (M.P) it is far about 50 km from Bhopal. Sanchi Stupa is about Buddhism, innumerable Buddhist structure, and pillars. This Sanchi Stupa is currently under UNESCO and it is considered as World Heritage. This Stupa is open for public from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. There are total 3 Stupa. First and second Stupa was built in first and second century separately and second is situated on the border of the hill above an artificial platform. The third one was situated near the Sanchi Stupa. This Sanchi Stupa is world oldest stone structure. There is a crown on the semicircular dome.

3. Meenakshi Temple: Meenakshi Temple is a place of god. Many of the foreigners are came here for enjoy their vacation and many of the Indians are came for worship. Meenakshi Temple is located in the South of the Vaigai River city of Madurai, Tamilnadu India and it was built after 2500 BC. The temple was constructed by the Nayak Ruler. The entrance of this temple is 40-50 meters high and there are 985 columns and 14 towers. This temple is spread over 6 hectares and 12 entrance gates. This is a famous religious place. Full name of this temple is Meenakshi Amma Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Devi Parvati is also called Meenakshi. Many of the holy books and legends say that Lord Shiva had come here to marry Madhuri Devi and to marry him. Some legends also say that this temple is founded by Indra. When they were going on pilgrimage due to their misdeeds then they built this temple. This temple is really spread in a very large area.

4. Victoria Memorial/Victoria Monument: Victoria Memorial is situated in Kolkata. This is the very famous historical place of India and it it is the landmark of Kolkata. This monument was built between 1906-1921. It was finally open in 1921 for the general public. This monument opens 10 a.m to 4 p.m and closed on Monday. It was based on Taj Mahal and tribute to the British Raj in India. This memorial is dedicated to “QUEEN VICTORIA”. There is a magnificent museum inside the Victoria Memorial where more than 3,000 items are displayed. There is also displayed the piano and the study table of Queen Victoria. Here is the grand garden which is really beautiful to see. This grand garden was built after the death of Queen Victoria. This Victoria Memorial was composed of both British and Mughal styles that’s why it is called ” Indo-Saracenic Revival Architecture.
